Wellness, joy, and a life well lived are all within reach.
And I’m honored to be part of your journey.
First, I want to congratulate you. You’re here because something inside has been telling you to put yourself first. That little, nagging voice has been saying “I need more. Please. I can’t keep grinding like this – something’s gotta give.” – and I agree.
I became a Health Coach because I remember that same insistent voice inside myself during my early years struggling with Budd-Chiari Syndrome. If I hadn’t listened to that voice and gotten support managing chronic stress, professional burnout, and endless treatment regimens, I likely wouldn’t be here today. I stand ready to walk with you towards health because everyone deserves to feel happy, strong, and well. I’m living proof that you can achieve your dreams even with a life-changing diagnosis or a chronic illness – and I’m not special. What’s in me is in you too.
So, what can you expect when you work with me?
My Five Guiding Principles of Practice
1. You are incredibly powerful. (Yes, you.) We’re going to use that.
There is no one on earth just like you. Your power is unique and considerable – even if you don’t feel it in you all the time. I help my clients set a strong foundation for change by tapping into their unique strengths, skills, and abilities. At the end of the day, your inner genius is going to get you to wellness. I’m just the guide.
2. Your well-being depends on so much more than your physical health.
Health is so much bigger than the number on the scale or the results of that lab test. I work with my clients on the physical, financial, social, mental, purpose, and emotional aspects of their health. Because to heal the whole person, you must treat the whole person.
3. Before we work on the “how,” we have to define your “why.”
What do you want to be able to do with your body? What will that mean for your family and friends? What does a life well-lived look like for you? If you have no idea how to answer these questions – don’t worry. We’ll reflect on them together. And once we figure out the vision, getting there will be that much easier.
4. What is measured gets managed (and achieved).
My background managing human services programs has taught me that the best way to make progress is to:
Clearly define success.
Set specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely (SMART) goals
that will bring the project closer to success.
I work with my clients to identify and achieve SMART goals that align with their big picture vision.
5. Nothing sticks without support.
Support, or lack thereof, is the difference between fleeting victories and lasting change. Of course I support my clients, but more importantly, I help my clients identify and engage their permanent support systems so they can stay on track long after our work together is done.
If you found yourself nodding along to all of this, then we’re going to get along famously.
